If you were given a choice between being given great wisdom, great athletic ability, or great wealth, which would you choose? Why? How would your choice affect your life?
If I were given a choice to have any of the above, I would choose great wealth. There’s a common saying that goes around saying “money is paper.” That’s true, but saying that would be like saying “a cross is a chunk of wood.” Money is worth what it is because of what it symbolizes. If you have money, you have access to tangible items or events. I want wealth because growing up, my family’s has been somewhat unstable when it comes to finance. Truthfully, my goal in life is just to make a difference in this world. I want to die knowing that I helped someone, or knowing I gave back to the world what it gave me. I’ve found that there are lots of ways to do this. I can donate money to the poor. I can buy a guitar and make music for people to hear. I can buy sketching pencils to draw pictures for people to see. I can give people what they could never afford, dollar by dollar. Athletic abilities don’t mean a lot to me. Sure, I’d like to say fit the same as everyone else, but athletic abilities won’t help anyone but myself. I’m smart enough to give the right tools to the right people, so wisdom won’t help my case either.
