Footstep Question

What would you do if you were at home at night alone and you heard a noise in your house that seemed to be footsteps?

A: If I’m upstairs and I know that no one else should be home, I’d take one of the many knives or sharp pointy objects in my room and creep to the top of the staircase. I’d try from there to identify who the person is. If it’s clearly a robbery and not a family relative then I would try as quietly as possible to get back into my room. From there I would grab a phone, go to my bedroom window, and cut out the screen. After cutting out the screen, I’d step out onto the roof and from the roof, jump to the ground and make my escape. After I’m a safe distance from the crime scene, I’d call the local sheriff’s station or 911 to inform them that there had been a break-in.

If I’m upstairs and I hear  the footsteps upstairs, I’d do the same thing and escape before calling the police.

If I’m downstairs and I hear the footsteps upstairs, I’d take a phone and escape via the garage, the front door, the backyard, or the patio.

If I’m downstairs and I hear the footsteps downstairs, I’d get the steak knife and try to make my escape.

If in any way I cannot escape in any of the above situations, I’d yell loudly and hope the burgler’ll be startled enough to run away. If he doesn’t run away, I’d take whatever weapon I have and try to attack him.

If the person isn’t a burgler but someone I don’t know, I’d take a sharp pointy object before encountering the person.

If the person isn’t a burgler but someone I do know, I’d greet them but ask how they got in.

If the person is a extraterristrial, I’d run for my life and declare aliens exist.

If the person is a paranormal figure, I’d run for my life and declare sprititual presences exist.

If there is no person, I’d run back to my room and declare my mind does not exist at the moment.

If I find the footsteps came from an animal, I’d either kill it or call the police depending on what animal it is.
